Custom APIs

Custom API from Embassy Software

We design off-the-shelf and custom APIs that can be scheduled to run in the background. These include:

  • MacroPoint – in-route data from dispatch systems provided to customers via XML data formatting using HTTPS transmission protocol. No need for manually updating the progress of a load once the process is put to work.
  • Project44 – in-route data from dispatch systems provided via CSV (or EDI 214) using FTP or SFTP communications protocol or anything requested by Project44. Again, no need to manually update the progress of a load.
  • FourKites – in-route data or load reference data provided via CSV using SFTP protocol (or anything requested by FourKites). Load updates the same as the above applications or a reference file provided that allows FourKites to ping your ELD data, provided this has been authorized.
  • Breakthrough Fuel – fuel surcharge updates provided by Breakthrough Fuel are presented in a custom app and uploaded to dispatch rate data without having to manually update each load.
  • Generic image sending – provided we know where images are stored, we can provide these images to your customer via an automated process. Requests like this are typically custom based on your customer’s requirements.
  • Other APIs – as long as we are provided details on API requests, we can typically provide these at a reasonable cost. That said, when an API attempts to re-invent the EDI data flow, we typically suggest that EDI is the better option with the work rules already defined.
